CANDELA GENTLEMAX PRO PLUS
CANDELA GENTLEMAX PRO PLUS
At Laser X in downtown Toronto, we run the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus. It’s the laser hair removal device most dermatologists reach for when results matter. 25 years of clinical refinement, 25,000+ systems in 89 countries, and millions of treatments behind it. It isn’t the cheapest machine on the market. It’s the one that works.
DUAL-WAVELENGTH LASER FOR EVERY SKIN TONE
Most Toronto clinics run a single-wavelength device. Usually a diode, sometimes still an IPL, and they hope for the best. The GentleMax Pro Plus carries two clinically distinct lasers in one system, and we choose between them based on your skin and your hair.
755 nm Alexandrite. Strongly absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, which makes it exceptionally effective on fine and light-to-medium hair. Our first choice for fair to olive skin (Fitzpatrick I to III).
1064 nm Nd:YAG. A longer wavelength that travels deeper and passes safely around the melanin in your skin. This is what makes safe laser hair removal for dark skin possible: brown skin, Black skin, and other deeper tones (Fitzpatrick IV to VI). Alexandrite-only and IPL devices can’t treat these tones without unacceptable risk.
Together, the two lasers cover every skin tone. Nobody gets turned away, and nobody gets treated on the wrong wavelength.
Continuous Cooling with the Zimmer Cryo 6
Every session on our Candela GentleMax Pro Plus runs with the Zimmer Cryo 6, a medical-grade chiller that delivers cold air across the treatment area continuously: before, during and after each pulse.
Your skin is already cooled when the laser fires, and stays cooled while the heat dissipates. That’s what keeps larger areas like legs, backs and full body comfortable, with a real margin of safety.
We Treat by the Manufacturer’s Book
Every client at Laser X gets a custom treatment plan. It’s built for your skin type, your hair, and the area being treated. All our settings, including fluence, pulse duration, spot size and wavelength, stay within Candela’s published guidelines for safe laser hair removal.
Every client has the option for a patch test. Every treatment is documented. Between visits, we adjust the settings based on how your skin and hair actually responded.
Our team is Ontario College trained and Candela-certified, with over 3,000 sessions delivered in the past year alone.
